I was on vacation with my daughter and her friend and stopped by. I showed my id in my wallet because it was cracking. The girls were so rude and refused to let me sample any wine because my license was cracked. I get that you have to Id everyone but I am 44 years old and was clearly not close to 21. I had an id it was just old. I was very offended at how it was handled. Even if the wine was good, I would never buy it after that. Very disappointing.
Once we leave here we head to Hillside Winery in PIgeon Forge.
This was our last stop of the 5 wineries on the local wine trail, earning us our free wine glasses. It was also one of our favorites. The gentleman assisting us was very friendly and took time to explain each wine to us. He also shared some cheese with one of our tastings and some chocolate with another. We ended up buying a bottle or two of our favorites!
Sadly we were told that this winery was closing after 12/31/2016!!!
Was a first stop for us on the wine trail. Exterior was very pretty but we seemed a bit cramped inside doing the tasting. Other than that, everything was great.
My wife and I enjoy completing the wine trail when we visit this area. If you are traveling I-40 I recommend visiting this winery while you are exiting to go into PF or GB. This is always our first stop due to its location. It is 20 miles or so from the next closest winery that is a member of the trail.
Great service and fruity wines! They let us sample how much ever we wanted and we ended up picking up 5 bottles between two families. Apricot, honey, strawberry and kiwi were our favourites. A must visit!
We are members of the wine club so we get to try all the wines on the list. We also make our own wine and like to find a flavor that we like. Then We will try and duplicate them so ALL wineries will get a minimum of 4 stars from me. They have dry, semi sweet, sweet, bubbly, and a frozen mix to choose from. I think they can only let you have 6 samples per person so choose your samples based on your pallet preference. They also have some neat items for sale in there store so check them out.
Be sure to get your trail card so you can get it stamped at the other wineries you visit.
