Calling the people and professionalism of KaTom below top 1% would be to cheat them. They have the single best selection, best on hand supply, and best customer service I've dealt with in years. I have shown some favoritism because of this amazing treatment, and they just ratchet it up a notch. It's been a pleasure to work with them every time I've been in the building. Call them.....You will not be disappointed.
Ordered a Christmas present for my Daughter on Dec 6th (20 days before Christmas). KaTom website stated “ships in 1-3 days”. After a week I emailed to find out status. Was emailed back saying it would be received by the next Friday (10 days before Christmas) and would be mailed to us right after. Monday comes (7 days before Christmas) I call because I had not received any communication. Employees says let me contact the shipper, puts me on hold, then comes back and says the supplier has not shipped yet and it would not be shipped until the following Friday and would not be received by me until after Christmas. I said cancel my order. My suggestion to KaTom, be honest on your website, if a problem is encountered then contact and over-communicate with buyer. You have absolutely alienated me, I will never order anything from you and will tell everyone I know not to order from you. Also you are not that far from me, so I also never set a foot inside your store. Terrible company.
We recently ordered 2 industrial refrigerators, 1 industrial freezer, 2 ice makers and 5 coolers from KaTom for our office’s remodel. The products arrived on time and in beautiful condition, keeping our project timeline on track! These are the perfect addition to our space. This is not our first KaTom purchase, we ordered an ice machine as well as a kegerator 4-5 years ago and they are still working well. This is a great company to work with, I know the owner and can vouch for the owner's integrity and personal commitment to offering a great selection on quality products.
I placed order in July KT11576859 for some pans and lids. I received the lids but not the pans. I called Katom who said pans will be shipped in a day or two. That never happened. After 6 months of going back and forth, I finally gave up.
I am glad this was just couple of hundred dollars lost and not couple of thousand dollars. I fail to understand how the business can be done this way? Is it too hard to follow the trail of the order especially when the ticket and emails has all the details? The emails at first clearly acknowledges order was partially shipped. So I fail to understand the problem at Katom's end.

I will never do business with Katom again and will not recommend this site to anyone. Horrible Horrible deal with complete waste of time and money.
UPDATE: The owner replied telling me to call “Birdie” who would help me ensure I got my daughter’s Christmas present before Christmas. While I do appreciate the response, I have to question the sincerity of it. Why are the majority of the reviews (I.e., 1star) and almost identical to mine. I did not call, I ordered on Amazon and ended up getting for $20 dollars cheaper, free shipping and is supposed to be here this Friday (4 days before Christmas) and based on my experience with Amazon, it will be here Thursday (a day early). Sorry KaTom, you really need to address your problem before the bad review.
Charles Hatchett was excellent to work with. He responded quickly to calls and emails. Katom price was better than any that I priced. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing restaurant supplies.
